Thank you for your interest in working with the Sudan-Reach Women's Foundation to advocate for, and promote women's human rights in Sudan!

We urgently need your help! Sudan-Reach is working hard to provide work opportunities for women, most of whom are Darfurian refugees who have fled the violence in their hometowns and are living in camps or homes in the outskirts of Khartoum.

In early 2007, Sudan-Reach worked with some of these women, trained them, and financed their small businesses to help them become self-sufficient. 

We believe that this is a vital step in the road to self-empowerment. When women work, they can provide better opportunities for their children, have a chance to learn, and have hope for the future! 

Our work would not be possible without the help of our volunteers and the generous support of our donors

The Empower-A-Woman Campaign is one of our most important fundraising programs this year. Anyone who can afford $5 a month can participate in this Campaign. Upon enrolling, Sudan-Reach will deduct $5 from the donor’s credit card every month. The donor may choose to cancel at any time. Its that simple!

In addition to helping us promote the campaign, we also need individuals to help us raise awareness about our work and advocate for Darfurian women. 

What You Can Do

• Organize a Dollar-for-Darfur Day at your school or university

• Get your friends and relatives to sign up for the Empower-A-Woman campaign and start giving $5 a month

• Help us start letter-writing campaigns

• Organize a film screening

• Organize a community event, bake sale, or any type of fundraiser

• Organize a discussion forum

• Distribute flyers at your school or place of business

• Put posters and brochures in local libraries, coffee shops, or community bulletin boards

• Organize a women's event such as "coffee morning" or women's brunch to share discussion and collect donations.

    We will be there to help you every step of the way! Sudan-Reach is prepared to support you with materials, supplies, and funding (if needed) for your activities.  

The Sudan-Reach Awards

To honor our volunteers this year, Sudan-Reach will be presenting our dedicated helpers with Sudan-Reach Humanitarian Awards.  

Volunteers 18 years and under will be presented with the Sudan-Reach Young Activist Award.

We are very excited about this new award system because it will enable us to thank our volunteers for their dedication and support; and celebrate the spirit of volunteerism in a way that will inspire and move others to do the same.

Award recipients will also be featured on our website and in a full-length article in our quarterly newsletter. In addition, award recipients will get all kinds of inspirational gifts from Sudan-Reach such as a Sudanese friendship bracelet, beaded jewelry, and more!
